About the company
Rotterdamse Elementen Fabriek of the Netherlands was founded in 1915 as a battery factory. However, closer to the 1930s, the manufacturer gradually shifted its focus to the production and repair of heating elements, first for domestic use, and later expanding the range with industrial heating elements. Today, the company is the market leader in this product segment and supplies heating elements throughout the world.

Heating elements
The company manufactures a wide range of heating elements in various types, shapes, sizes and functions. Heating elements for domestic appliances are used in steamers, barbecues, grills, water heaters, washing machines, etc. Depending on the application, the type of coating on the heating element varies. Industrial heaters are tubular, spiral, cartridge, screw-in, ribbed, etc. and are used for heating various oils and liquids, including chemically aggressive ones. Circular heaters are also available for installation in ventilation ducts and circular heaters for the external heating of pipes or circular tanks.
Ceramic and mica heaters
These products are intended for heating surfaces resistant to high temperatures up to 500 degrees. They are available in flat or circular type and have a maximum surface loading of 8V/cm2. For tank heating we offer ceramic immersion tube heaters. In addition to ceramics, mica is also used in the construction of these heaters, which allow heating to a temperature of 300 degrees and a maximum surface load of 4 W/cm2.
Special heaters and temperature sensors
In addition to a wide range of standard heaters, the company also produces items for specialised applications. Tyre heater covers with integrated thermostat allow the preheating of motorbike racing tyres. Flameproof heaters are used for heating liquids and gases in potentially explosive atmospheres. Special heaters for switch cabinets are used for heating components at low temperatures. Micro tubular heating elements are used for heating spray heads. Also available in the product catalogue are thermocouples and resistance thermometers and thermostats of various types to work in combination with heating elements manufactured by the company.
